Katy Lane

Katy Lane serves as director of the Center for International Business Studies, Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. She has worked in international education for nearly 15 years at the university and college levels. In her prior role, Katy was Associate Director at TAMU’s Education Abroad office which supports more than 5,500 students pursuing a global experience each year. Katy enjoys creating new programs and initiatives for outbound and inbound students, engaging in outreach and risk management oversight, leading academic programs abroad, and supporting her incredible staff.

Katy received her B.A. in Mathematics and her M.S. in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Sciences as well as a Graduate Certificate in Advanced International Affairs from Texas A&M University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication with a focus on international education. As a student, Katy interned with the Panama Canal Authority in Panama and completed a language immersion program in Spain. She currently serves on the NAFSA Region III leadership team as the 2022 Conference Planner. Katy served on the Region III team as Conference Planner Apprentice in 2021 and as the South Texas Representative and NAFSA State Conference co-chair in 2020.
