Keri Toma

Keri Toma is the International Programs Manager and Communications Specialist for the International Student and Scholar Services office at San José State University (SJSU), where she develops and implements co-curricular programs to help international students and scholars connect, engage, explore, and thrive. Keri has worked in higher education for nearly two decades as adjunct faculty and as program manager. Her primary goal, whether working in or outside of the classroom, is to support student success. She holds a Masters in Teaching Foreign Language, a Masters in International Education Management, and a certificate in Language Program Administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and is currently a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership program at SJSU, where her research focus is on the intersection of intercultural learning, student leadership development, and the international student experience. Keri has served on the NAFSA Region XII (California, Nevada, Hawaii & Pacific Islands) leadership team since 2019, and is currently the immediate Past Chair of the Region.
